More than likely yes, but ergonomics are personal--you might not bend that way. Quote: Will the car nickle and dime me to death? I don't mind doing minor repairs that an be done by myself. Hell, my other vehicle is a 95 Cherokee sport with 170,000 miles on it so I am used to doing some work to keep a car going. | Not really. If it's got a good history and you keep up with maintenance you're okay. Some parts are more expensive than their domestic counterpart, some are less, but you get a whole lot more car for your money. At this mileage, there are some parts to the cooling system you should go ahead and replace. Poke around here and you will find the thread. Quote: Will it be reliable enough to use for long drives as I am military and go TDY a lot to different parts of the country? I will also be using it as a daily driver. | My ti (176k) has only let me stranded twice, and both because of my own fault (hint: buy a good torque wrench). Quote: I know there isn't a lot of room in one for my gear, but I was thinking a bolt on Yakima rack and cargo carrier would work for some of these trips. | The only racks that fit are the Thule and factory systems. The one issue I would caution here is that the roof has a load capacity of 110lbs or so, which includes the racks themselves (110# minus weight of racks). __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 02-14-2008, 10:53 AM | #21 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | ^^^this man speaks the truth, great info on the load capacity of the roof BTW. You'll need Thule fit kit#225, 400 or 400xt aero feet, LB50 load bars, locks, a fairing and whatever type of racks you'ld want to hold your stuff(bike, surfboard, ski, snowboard, kayak, cargo etc). Also FWIW, that pic was photochopped, but my sack really does look like a rotten apple though __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 02-14-2008, 04:50 PM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | no way it looks sooooo real and thats too bad about your crouch, you ever think about getting it checked out or do freaky girls dig it? __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 02-15-2008, 02:23 AM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Quote: Originally Posted by thesk8nmidget no way it looks sooooo real and thats too bad about your crouch, you ever think about getting it checked out or do freaky girls dig it? | ROTFL __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 02-15-2008, 05:24 AM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | rotton apple bag FTW __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
