why do you want to paint it black? People always ask me why I keep the color of my car purple...but one I like purple and 2 its extremely rare. I love alaskan blue....you see black everywhere....

Sorry that is my opinion but to answer you question it just depends on the place and area you want it to be painted. Los Angeles might be costly.

true, i love the blue, you never see it, how much do you think it would be to get it like all patched up, the sides top and rear are clean but the front faces of the mirrors and m body kid are all rock damaged.

Have you tried seeing how much it would be to repaint by asking on bimmerforums? I have seen a lot of los angeles posters maybe they could give a good shop to call or something. I wish I could help but im all the way over on the other side of the country lol. But definetly keep the blue....black is too common and so boring after a while.

mine is in the paint shop as we speak. matter of fact I have to leave to go wet sand it in about 2 hours. It's not cheap. My car was 2 tone (purple & tan) I got sick of the color after a year so I sent it to the paint shop again. I haven't been to the states in more than 7 years so I dont know what the average price is but I can tell you that here in germany body work is expensive. (6000 euro- about 8 thousand dollars) thats for custom paint job, new wheels, new adjustable suspension, complete reiger body kit, Overqll the price is not bad but damn it hurts giving hat guy so much money.

average paint job here is about 1200-2000 for a full repaint done professionally.
