Default How can I check if my car is USA or Euro spec?

Hi guys,

I live in Japan and want to check if my car is a European spec or USA spec car. Reason for this is that I want to get a Shark Injector and the website says it won't work on a Euro spec car. I have no idea if BMW Japan import from Europe or the USA. I'm guessing USA, but not sure.

Anyone know if I can check somewhere with my VIN? Or will my engine computer be obviously different depending on where its from? Heard Euro is Bosch and USA is Siemens or vice versa.

Thanks in advance.

James
