Compatibility Notes ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Antec Three Hundred Illusion ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org Last edited by 1996 328ti; 11-28-2014 at 08:02 PM. | | | 11-28-2014, 08:04 PM | #33 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti I'm just not sure if I'll loose interest in a few months. | What do I need to do to brake you of that habit? Do you really need a $85 keyboard/mouse combo when you're on a budget? You could surely get a $35 keyboard/mouse combo and put that total down to $800. __________________ 2000 M5 -> 1996 318ti -> 1997 328i Instagram: ndrewchow YouTube: MINIzguy | | | 11-29-2014, 07:51 AM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: SoCal Posts: 702 | Quote: Originally Posted by MINIz guy Looks good to me. Also if your not sure that you want to play it.. why not just pick up some craigslist prebuilt PC - have a neighborhood kid who knows computers well check it out for you and just do it that way. That PC that you got built above will work well, but its not really necessary if your not too sure. Though I am very surprised at how people overrate their PC's value on craigslist. Actually this isn't too bad: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb...776482844.html Yes, I would be willing to test/ship it for your. I think that i'm going to go for it. I'm going to make a parts list and may do my ordering on Monday, hoping to save a few bucks. A few questions. I have HD's and peripherals left over so have some room $ wise, is it smartest to put that toward a video card? Also, i always thought that the MoBo was the most important piece, so isn't a $70 board questionable? I'm not in a position to replace my laptop just yet. Ideally I'd buy a quad core i7 Mac. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 11-29-2014, 08:53 PM | #43 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: NJ Posts: 373 | The Intel Core i5-4690k is only $179.99 at Microcenter (in-store) deal and is faster than the i5-4590 you picked. I'm not sure if you're pushing the limits of your PSU, so check that too. You can finally save a little with your computer case (maybe $30 here and there) if you pick a different one on sale in stores. __________________ 2000 M5 -> 1996 318ti -> 1997 328i Instagram: ndrewchow YouTube: MINIzguy | | | 11-29-2014, 11:25 PM | #44 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by MINIz guy The Intel Core i5-4690k is only $179.99 at Microcenter (in-store) deal and is faster than the i5-4590 you picked.
