Default Where is the OBD II connector?

Looking at a '97 318ti tomorrow and wanted to connect my Xray scanner - is the connector under the dash on left side like most cars?

There is a little cover over it, need a coin to remove.

Yeeah, you just reminded me that my cover keeps falling off haha...
I believe it actually says OBD II on the cover. Can't miss it.
