How much would you be willing to sell it for?

What did you have in mind? I already have a buyer for the dasc for $1800 alone.

Well if you go on and sell the DASC then we could pick up the rest of the car as-is for $2000

OK that's not terrible. It will be moved to my friends place in Sarasota, FL. I don't want to back out on the gentleman who already claimed the dasc, but if he backs out then I'd keep it on there for you.

We can't this weekend since we just settled with insurance and need to send the title in so it can be labeled as "destruction". Once we do that I will tow the car to my friends house so hr can take the dasc off(unless you want to pay extra for that to be on there). After that you can come get it. Probably will be a couple of weeks since we are in California and have to send those forms back and forth between FL and CA. I hope this works and you are very interested.

If you still have the title why do you need to send it in for a "destruction" title?

Just curious what was the insurance company's estimated value of your car or their payout on it?

It is sitting at a body shop. I just settled with insurance this morning, and they have to total it in order for us to get it back and they give us less for it that way versus them putting it at auction

Since I already know that the insurance company's estimate it is not a real world replacement value if you actually had to go out in the marketplace and physically buy this car!
Hey Altitude, sorry I didn't respond. This is Patience (aldeki).

Anyways yeah the car ended up getting the destruction title. The insurance company pretty much said this is what we are offering you and if you don't like it well too bad we are dropping the case. Which sucks.

Anyways the insurance estimated it at about 5k, which is way too low for the car in the condition I had it in and the miles it had. I've seen some for sale for 6.5k with twice as many miles and in half the condition mine was in. Plus the fact is anyways it was worth way more to that than me, so some little check isn't going to help me forget about this.

And I need to send it out for the destruction title because I can't keep the title to my car, then I could just get it fixed and drive it like nothing ever happened. The only way I could do that is if I just dropped the insurance case and fixed it myself, but it's about 5.5k worth of damage and I just don't have that money now and with moving across the country I just know it would end up forgotten somewhere. So I can go with the destruction title to get a check for the car at least.

All in all it's a pretty ****ty situation, but at least someone is getting good use of the DASC and someone is buying the whole car so hopefully they'll get some nice parts from it. I mean it was a beautiful car and I'm pissed I got it taken away just like that, but what can you do. I could rant on forever, but I'll stop here.

Thanks for asking though what ended up happening.

I'm interested if you still have it.
