Default holes in pipe between cat and headers

is cracked. i just replaced the cat a few months ago, but lately have been noticing a sound from my exhaust that sounds like something is leaking. i just got under my car a few minutes ago to discover... there must be some holes in the welding right at the cat, on the side that goes up to the headers.

anyone have any ideas about sealing this???

i don't wanna get a new cat

its funny. just when i think i find the last problem and i fix it.. i find a new one lol.

Take it back to the shop that did the original welds. Most use TIG welding, which can fill the holes.

Also, demand you don't pay a dime for it. It should have been done right the first time.

wasn't welded by the shop. it was a direct fit. i'm taking it to a buddy to inspect the car tomorrow. i'll see what he can do.

AFAIK, there's no such thing as a direct fit. Exhausts require either gaskets, welding, or springs.

If you can get a picture that'd help a lot.
