Default Camera Mount Locations

First things first:

I searched, I don't like the location of the DIY Headrest Camera Mount, nor do I think it will pass at SCCA tech inspection.

Posted in this forum since it is always alive.
_______________

I need a camera mount location that I feel comfortable mounting a $2000+ camera to, in addition it has to meet the following:
"Any cameras, if installed, must be securely mounted to withstand loads from driving maneuvers. The camera may be installed either inside or on the outside of the car. In either case, its mounting method and position must not interfere with driving or pose an additional hazard to driver, passenger, or course workers."

So this is where I request your imagination. Trunk will be empty and the hatch shelf will be removed during the events that I will run this set up.

To get an idea of past set ups I have done there are two attached pictures.

*Please note the camera that will be used is not a small point and shoot like in the pictures.

if you don't have racing buckets this could work, it's on backorder currently but maybe you could DIY something similar

Takes me to a generic "pick your part" page. I searched camera mount and one attached to the passenger seat came up.. don't think that will support the weight of my camera. I'm also very skeptical about putting my camera on something that's floating. I might just want to invest in a "go pro camera"

that's a pretty hefty camera, I think that mount would hold it though but I'm not sure

I really don't know much about this kinda stuff so I'll just let someone who'd done this sort of thing post
