Talking Meet Ilsa

just picked up a new track rat project today, 1985 318i for $1200

it's mostly stock, it has aftermarket springs, they're red so I'm fairly sure they're Bavauto springs, I'll figure it out when I put it up on the lift, they were installed two owners ago so the guy I bought it from didn't know either. It also has a new Ansa muffler and a pretty nice Blaupunkt cassette deck with a CD changer in the trunk. The first time I test drove it I yanked the shift knob right off so I replaced it with an old AC Schnitzer knob I had sitting in my room

enough talk, onto the pics

That looks pretty clean.

I probably would not have been able to resist the purchase either.

But, if you get one more, I call intervention.

thanks everyone the car does have a few rust spots, the rockers were rusting and got sprayed with rubber undercoating, and apparently there was a hole in the floor that was patched, not too concerned with that since it's just a track rat

the interior was a little ratty looking but after I got the lower dash panel and seat back panel out of the backseat and installed it cleaned up nicely

what about the bumpers, trim around the windows, grills and shift knob? you must be getting desperate if you're trying to sell me rims that won't even bolt up to my car

for now, just gutting it and minor mods, might swap it in the future but we'll see

don't worry, I think this is my last car for a while unless I get rid of another one. between my cars and my parents cars we have to park cars on the lawn because the driveway is full

few new mods and pics

I used a coupler that came with my Dinan intake, the tube and bracket that came with my Cosmo Racing intake and a K&N cone filter and made an intake out of that

I also pulled out the driver side high beam to get more cold air going to it, we'll see how the cops like it

then my dad bought me a "car warming" present as he called it, a set of 15" Borbet rims with nearly new Yokohama tires on them

A polished valve cover would really look good with that intake
