However, the chosen color is becoming more expensive than the hook-up pricing because our paint mixer is away for cancer treatment, chances are he might not come back. I chose two more colors that I liked that should be cheaper than lambo paint. My buddy was away from work for sometime as he had back issues and severe pains. He's back on it now though. Everything else should be ready when the car makes it back from his shop painted. I should be just bolting stuff to the car and fabricate the exhaust. I'll keep this updated as much as possible. | | | 05-14-2010, 07:30 AM | #48 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Avondale, Az Posts: 203 | Sorry guys this project won't make it to bfest this year like I planned but I'll still make it out there in my green e39. It's still at the body shop being worked on. The good news is I finally picked a color and it was bought already so I can't change my mind now. My good buddy convinced me to stay away from orange as it could look really ricey since it's a thin line between nice and rice. I stayed with a rare BMW color that's on may be only one TI out there so it's still pretty unique. More pics and updates to follow soon when the car comes back to my house. I'll definitely come and meet everyone of you guys wherever you park at bfest. | | | 07-16-2010, 11:47 AM | #49 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | update on the wing? | | | 07-18-2010, 06:40 PM | #50 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Avondale, Az Posts: 203 | Yes, the fitment was still not as great as it should be. | | | 07-18-2010, 06:49 PM | #51 | Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Norwich, England Posts: 36 | mate that orange is sex!!! lambo or not - i'm feelin the orange (thinks about copying you). At this point I'm thinking I should have thought twice about changing the color of my TI, I could have had it done by now. I still don't have the shell back from body shop. I've had difficulties sourcing the crank I wanted but still working on that. | | | 07-18-2010, 07:23 PM | #57 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Gilbert Posts: 621 | and the way it looks on ti's is even better, but i hear you about the body shop. ive been driving my dad back and forth from the shop since his cars been at the bodyshop having the hood, fenders, and roof repainted. its been 2 weeks already. __________________ *IF ITS FAST AND CHEAP, ITS NOT RELIABLE* *IF ITS CHEAP AND RELIABLE, ITS NOT FAST* *IF ITS FAST AND RELIABLE, ITS NOT CHEAP* | | | 07-18-2010, 07:26 PM | #58 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Avondale, Az Posts: 203 | ^ Hopefully the work is worth it dude.
