Ya I had some bad news lately but I didn't want to post it. However, the chosen color is becoming more expensive than the hook-up pricing because our paint mixer is away for cancer treatment, chances are he might not come back. I chose two more colors that I liked that should be cheaper than lambo paint. My buddy was away from work for sometime as he had back issues and severe pains. He's back on it now though. Everything else should be ready when the car makes it back from his shop painted. I should be just bolting stuff to the car and fabricate the exhaust. I'll keep this updated as much as possible.

Sorry guys this project won't make it to bfest this year like I planned but I'll still make it out there in my green e39. It's still at the body shop being worked on. The good news is I finally picked a color and it was bought already so I can't change my mind now. My good buddy convinced me to stay away from orange as it could look really ricey since it's a thin line between nice and rice. I stayed with a rare BMW color that's on may be only one TI out there so it's still pretty unique. More pics and updates to follow soon when the car comes back to my house. I'll definitely come and meet everyone of you guys wherever you park at bfest.

Amr, im feeling Dakar Yellow as the color on only one other ti. i want to see a dakar ti in person. i wanted mine that color for the longest time, until i came to the conclusion that its way too many man hours to respray the whole car. so as soon as i get my body straightened out im having my alpine white touched up..

Dakar yellow is a very clean color. At this point I'm thinking I should have thought twice about changing the color of my TI, I could have had it done by now. I still don't have the shell back from body shop. I've had difficulties sourcing the crank I wanted but still working on that.

some one poured paint thiner on the hood of his e39. were getting the work done as a trade for "inspecting" the guys intrepid for hg failure.. and we know the guy painting does quality work because my dad had a body shop about 10 yrs ago and this guy worked for him. my dad basically taught this guy how to paint cars.
