I recently came across a little problem that I need to repair fast. I signed up for a track even coming up pretty soon at Mid-Ohio to test the 318 out. But when I went to tear some turns up the other day I found out that the seat belt locking mechanism on the drivers side doesn't lock. For a cheap way to hold me into the seat in past cars I've always pulled the seat belt all the way out to its max extension and then just pulled it tight against me so it was locked. My passenger seat belt does this but not the drivers seat. I was wondering if anyone has every had this happen and what they did to fix it. I figured I would throw the question out there before I pulled it apart and looked for a possible replacement. Hold the lap belt out and a little forward with your left hand, pull tight across your chest with your left. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 06-11-2008, 07:30 PM | #12 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by aceyx Get your seating position right so the lap belt goes across your hips (not stomach). You'ld be surprised how many people don't properly strap themselves in. I used to be a cop in Europe and I responded to an average of 3 accidents a day for over 5 years. Most injuries could have been avoided by following aceyx's advice. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 06-11-2008, 11:57 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | bavauto sells a clamp-type thing that will lock your seatbelt in place, it's made by a company called G-Force or something, I'm too lazy to check right now | | | 06-12-2008, 12:47 AM | #14 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Cincinnati, OH Posts: 6 | I think your talking about the CG-lock.
