Someday when I have the time to properly research and execute it I'll swap in an S50 or S52 with either cams or a s/c then I'll get a little cocky but until then I'll enjoy driving a modest looking fun car. __________________ | | | 01-10-2008, 11:04 AM | #32 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Southern California - Orange county Posts: 978 | im actually working on an s50 swap after my computer multimedia system is done the whole 9 yards turbo and everything but at the rate i get my money from the 99 cents store i've calculated that everything i want for my car will be about $10,000 but if i save all my checks ill have that in 2 years lol pathetic __________________ 1995 318ti Cosmos Black Bilsteins w/ H&R Sport, Depos w/ angeleyes and HID 5K, 50% short throw kit, Custom fogged intake, AC schnitzer pedels w/ deadpedels, leather stickshift knob, vitesse tuning Ebreak boot w/ shift boot, X-Brace, 325/328 brake upgrade, Gray millpoint leather and cloth interior, custom computer multimedia system, and Style 5 BBS 17" rims, M3 Mirrors, CF Hood | | | 01-10-2008, 11:54 AM | #33 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bobbak im actually dreaming about an s50 swap after my computer multimedia system is done the whole 9 yards turbo and everything | ^^^fixed J/K you'll probably have yours done before me. I'd set aside $5-7k for the engine swap (to do it right) and another $10k to add the turbo (and do it right). Need more research on the other bimmer forums like bfc. It takes more $$$ to mod a bimmer than the japanese rides. | | | 01-10-2008, 06:01 PM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | hey pollo loco. im only messing. that car you picked up, im sure its nicely built already. im just giving u a hard time. lol. im just wanting that kind of engine mod. but eh, ill get there some day. im not doing any or much mods to my engine now since i plan in the future to just do the swap. i figure i can hopefully find an M3 crashed, damaged, or by someone getting rid of it. do the swap and part out the parts i dont need (which wouldnt be much). take another few years and do some type of FI. its a hobby that'll take a while to complete which is a good thing. i wouldnt get bored too easily, like some member on this forum that complains (ahem ahem gar ahem) lol. but like dusten and stealth said. im sure it takes lots of money and time and patience to do it all RIGHT. which is the only way to get a nice looking quick bimmer that'll be stealth. when the time comes, ill be coming on here to do the S52. until then, ill have to enjoy my slower Ti for now. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! I just dont want anyone to think I'm cocky. I'm the new guy here. I have to find a gas pedal ASAP. I broke mine on the drive home last night. dealership wants $55 for one, Pelican $34, but I might be able to pick up a sparco pedal set for $30. Can you pick parts up directly from Pelicans warehouse in El Segundo? __________________ | | | 01-10-2008, 06:42 PM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boston, MA Posts: 1,152 | Quote: Originally Posted by el pollo loco I have to find a gas pedal ASAP.
