Hello everyone! I've enjoyed everyones posts & DIY info on the other forums, and I can finally take part.
Just wanted to introduce myself and my car. I live in Coolidge, Arizona USA and there are not a lot of ti's out here. I've maybe seen a handful. Below is a summary of my car, TI TIME:
1995 BMW 318ti
Exterior:
-Metallic Black Color
-M3 Rear Bumper & Side Skirts, Stock Front Bumper
-Roof Spoiler, A/C Schnitzer Trunk Lip Spoiler (3-piece)
-M3 Mirrors
-Rims & Tires are 17" X 9" all around
-Stock Headlights, Clear/Black housing corners, Clear side markers, Euro Red/Clear Tailights (NOT ALTEZZA!). Keeps the semi-stock feel, but looks sweet!
Interior:
-Black/Grey stock interior
-Dark Purple Stock Leather Seats & door panels
-Alpine CD/MP3 deck w/ iPod output (in the glovebox)
-Custom speaker box (raised trunk floor about 3" or so) w/ Rockford Fosgate 10" speaker, 240 Watt Amp. Note: Still got all my trunk space >)
Engine/Mechanical:
-M42 Engine w/ 163,000 miles
-5 Speed Manual
-Front & Rear Sway Bars & lowering springs from Eibach
-Strut Bar over the engine from Eibach
-K & N Performance Air Filter
-Replaced various parts that needed maintenance (Radiator, Water Pump, Thermostat, belts, hoses, etc.)
Future Mods/Upgrades:
-Paint Job (In need. People in AZ have to put up with a lot of rocks hitting your car on the freeway)
-S50/B3 3.0 Engine Swap (Depends on $$$)
-I have all the emblems that I want to put on my car, but I would feel kinda silly putting them on when my ti still has the stock 4-banger.
So, that's my car. I'm going to be getting the paint job done in the next few months. When I do, I'll post some pics so you all can be "formally" introduced.
Tell me what you think. Anything else that I should do to upgrade/mod?
Thanks!
