Default Peake SRS tool purchased, used, help.

So I bought the peake tool, I used it, I cleared a few codes, then one came back 100 miles later.

Driver side seatbelt circuit?

When I turn on my car my seatbelt light is lite for a few seconds and then just turns off regardless of me wearing the seatbelt.

The previous owner did some electrical stuff, LCD's, stereo, etc.

So is there a seatbelt connector or something I should check out?

What could cause this?

I have limited computer access so please excuse my lack of searching.

the seatbelt fasterne on the newer models (95-) have an incedury (sp) in the belt lock, that fires inwards onn impact.

there is a wire that is coupled up to th SRS system, and this works loose or snaps after repeated wear on the seatbelt ( i never waer mine anyway, bad i know)

a clever mechanic will repair and secure this wire. BMW may just replace it.

Fault diagnose via tester will say where the fault is

^ where is the location of the sensor? If you can get me in the ballpark I will troubleshoot the crap outta it. I just don't want to dive in and troubleshoot a wire that turns out to be part of my heated seats. I doubt I would but hey, I figure you will point me in the proper direction.

What kind of tool will diagnose the faulty sensor? The Peake doesn't, does it?

Thanks in advance for your infinite patience, lol.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it, it doesn't affect the airbag at all, unless the light on the dash is bugging you then go for it

you may have to remove the seat to come to it

the seatbelt clasp attatched to the chassis, on the lower end has this connector.
