I've never done this since buying it back in Summer of 09. Paint still shines though. __________________ "Never trust a big butt and a smile" 97- 328Ti (daily) 01- S2K (auto-x, cruiser) 96- JDM Integra SiR-G turbo (1/4 mile, auto-x, road course, show) | | | 04-24-2011, 06:51 AM | #1203 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Oakland Posts: 187 | Finally put the new hellrot fender on the red car, still need a good nose panel... __________________ 96 Schwartz II 318ti M-Sport with M44 *SOLD* 95 Hellrot Red 318ti with S52 Swap (Mine) 94 Boston Green 325i Saloon with M50TU (Hers) 68 White VW Bus Camper (Parts Bus) 71 Pink VW Bus Westfalia (The fixer upper) | | | 04-24-2011, 07:24 PM | #1204 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posts: 1,464 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak yesterday I installed my Mason Engineering strut bar and removed all my neons and most of my stickers | Yeah, I've been on the fence about one of those Mason strut bars as well... I think I'm going to install my x-brace first to try and see if I can feel a difference, then maybe get the bar and see what the incremental difference is. Those look great freak. I prolly should have gotten them to put on when I pulled the cluster for bulbs the other day. __________________ No more ti. | | | 04-25-2011, 04:00 AM | #1208 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | The Riken Raptor tires I had picked out couldn't be ordered by my retailer, so instead I had Uniroyal Tiger Paw Tourings mounted on my 98 base model. I chose them because they have performed well on my son's Matrix. They feel great on the highway, and I don't drive aggressively enough to miss having a performance tire on the car. I would be curious to know if anyone has had Raptors on their ti. I was driving with sunglasses on earlier today because I was driving into the sun and I could barely see the needles, wasn't a huge deal but definitely something to consider | | | 04-25-2011, 05:28 AM | #1210 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Quote: Originally Posted by jca The Riken Raptor tires I had picked out couldn't be ordered by my retailer, so instead I had Uniroyal Tiger Paw Tourings mounted on my 98 base model. How did you like the tire? | I have these (the Rikens) on my touring and they are nice, but i can't speak for any performance qualities of the tires, as I do not drive the wagon as "enthusiastically" as the ti... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. The job looks neatly done in the picture. | | | 04-26-2011, 07:37 AM | #1213 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Westerville ohio Posts: 106 | Got the m3 body harness fitted in place in the ti shell, and grafted on the wires needed to adapt the ti's non "Check control" sytems to work with the m3 18 button obc. Added the wiring needed to gain proper control of the rear wiper, added ti wiper stalk to the rest of the m3 stalk's. Dash supports mounted, steering column, pedals, dash, and started to put the euro cluster in before the night was called. My blinkers don't even auto cancel, I guess I need to look for new column stuff... | Printed out the entire ETS Manual for both my 98 318ti and my 97 m3. What i did mostly though was just compare both wiring harness to each other to figure out which wires were not included in the m3 harness. It helped that i had the full harnesses for both cars. I can Send you the the info on what wires are needed. the wires to add for it are not that hard once you figure out where they go. Would you be willing to snap some pictures of your rear brake light areas? Specifically where the rear brakes plug into the harness. I'm curious to see how they wired your car at the bake lights to work with the m3 harness. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
