Posts: 3,156 | Honestly I think it's too black. The chrome is needed around the grilles to blend better with the black/polished lip wheels (as a start). The chrome exhaust tip is good, but I'd loose the tint too. (many race sanctioning bodies do not allow it anyway). Black can be cool, but I think it's over done. Maybe two-tone the car with an arctic silver upper half separated by a nice red pinstripe, then add the red/black sport interior. THAT would be hot... | | | 03-08-2006, 11:39 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Richmond Hill, GA Posts: 1,231 | NO EYELIDS! looks good like this! | | | 03-08-2006, 11:48 PM | #4 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | lookin' good to me __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 03-08-2006, 11:51 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Toronto Posts: 167 | If you already have eyelids put them on and see how they look. If you like it leave it and if not you can always take them off. Car looks great. | | | 03-08-2006, 11:52 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | I like the grills. Did you paint them or buy a kit? | | | 03-08-2006, 11:53 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Muncie, Indiana Posts: 1,551 | I love those reiger sides! If it was me I would roll the fenders and lower it a bit more though. I am undecided on the rear too. Keep up the good work. | | | 03-08-2006, 11:59 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | thanks guys!!! i feel like i worked hard and i love the way see looks. i've tried the eyelids and they look mean!! i just don't know if it will be to much. Jim, thanks for your insight. the tint will stay, i still have the hatch window and the two door windows to do (i'm not worried about the race sanctions, i dont race...maybe one day...lol). the chrome tip is a stromong, and i love the sound and look. are there tighter muffler hangers out there? i want the exhaust to come up some, so its closer to the valence. panzer, the grills were bought on ebay __________________ | | | 03-09-2006, 12:09 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Tyler, TX Posts: 1,022 | Looks nice. Makes me want to get my 18s back on (had a blowout a couple weeks ago). As for the eyelids, I think they would look great. Your car already looks really aggressive, and the eyelids would make it look even better. EDIT: oh yeah, and the height you've got it at is perfect IMO. | | | 03-09-2006, 12:09 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | Quote: Originally Posted by AlaskaBlue I love those reiger sides! Your car is looking hot!!! I would put on the eyelids and bring back the chrome grills. Aside from that, your car is on point. I'm definetly feeling the bumpers and sideskirts. I guess I have some catching up to do.......keep it up papa. __________________ "Power Rules, Smooth is Fast, Late Brake if you HAVE TO, But Always get the Inside Line.......and Fear No One." | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
