MM sells them already modified to fit a stroker m42/4... I really think you should take the advice in the other thread that what you are trying to do will not be cheap. | | | 10-16-2008, 06:47 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Singapore Posts: 36 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn You do realize that you can't just put the M47 crankshaft into an m42/44 without some modification? I have already found someone who is able to build the engine for me. Just that I need the parts. Thus, if I could get the parts elsewhere rather than MM, I would be saving some cash for other things. | | | 10-16-2008, 06:21 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Does your builder know how to properly rebuild the M47 crank to make it fit? It is NOT a direct fit. You should be able to find m47 cranks if you are going to modify it yourself to fit. Figure out a country that had a lot of M47 diesels out there, Euro countries more than likely, find some car recyclyers in those countrys and call around looking for parts. That is where you will find them, there are no vendors that will sell them on a website that is easy to find. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
