I grabbed the car at auction in Cocoa Beach Fl. The car drives fine other then when it is supposed to boost... it's just flat; doesn't pull at all; I think it s a fuel problem. Don't know if this sounds familiar to anyone, or if anyone has any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated if you need more info to help me, just ask the question and I will do my best to provide it. Sorry if this was covered already... i looked for awhile.... | | | 03-16-2008, 12:26 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | welcome to the forum. there is a dude in the So.Cal forum named Hugo i've read that he knows his sh!t. send him a PM he is restricted to the So.Cal. forum...so look for him there. good luck! __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 03-16-2008, 01:49 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by teetime4one he is restricted to the So.Cal. forum...so look for him there. | again?!? | | | 03-16-2008, 03:04 AM | #4 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | i would suggest DustenT as well. although he no longer has his DASCd ti, he is quite knowledgeable. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 03-16-2008, 04:39 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak again?!? | again __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 03-16-2008, 04:10 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | I thought he was cool again what he do now? Sorry if this was covered already... i looked for awhile.... | Hook up a boost gauge. Or throw it on a dyno, or both. Either way, a DASC puts out less than 200hp usually, so it's not like it's supposed to be crazy fast. Roots superchargers produce flat hp/torque curves, so the power does feel flat. I need a daily driver; my 911 has 92k miles on it ('00 c2 cab silver on black; rims i/e/h). She is being put into a semi-dormant state (will still go to meets or other events). The 318ti does have the most hideous rims i have ever seen... the same guy i got the car from is swapping them out with 95 m3 wheels (unless i tell him no) they will be gone shortly, i do like the kit (ac schni.), not crazy about the color, light blue almost silver... just needed something fun, could seat 4 if needed, and is good on gas... the ability to spank someone in my daily driver is a sweet bonus... haseeb718.... bro squash the "hehe" stuff; it comes across like my four year old niece; in addition not one of your posts on this thread have been of any assistance to myself or anyone else; with the exception of "yours" all of other posts have been fairly insightful into either my specific issue, or to whom would be good individuals to seek assistance from. I will do my best to not let your comments taint my opinion of what otherwise seems to be a very friendly and supportive community. | | | 03-17-2008, 10:16 PM | #15 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Tampa Posts: 9 | Here are a couple of shots of my 911... the 318ti is not coming home until we resolve the issue... at which time I will gladly post pics. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
