Talking really loud cat!

well i kept hearing this noise that sounded like the inside of my tranny was just falling apart and come to find out its my cat! i got under the car and sure enough the cat making very loud strange knocking noises at idle and certain rpms. i have another full exhuase but im prolly going to take this opportunity to get like a magnaflow high flow cat, rear o2 angle pipe, and either a borla tip or my stock tip. idk if im doing 2.5" or 3" piping. probably 2.5. i dont want it to be really loud i just want a bit of a throaty tone. with a high flow cat and 2.5" piping with no resonator im thinking it might be loud enough with the stock tip. im not going for some loud ricer exhuast i just need a cheap setup that will fix my cat problem and give my exhuast some tone as tis dont make any exhuast noise at all.

standby for check engine light. Cats aren't parts that you want to cheap out on. Aftermarket cats simply don't work, it's been proven time and time again. Best bet is finding a used OEM cat.

the rear o2 sensor angle block has gotten good reviews from a lot of people stating that it kept from throwing a CEL. we have no kind of emmision laws in louisiana.

Actually, it's a federal law. Maybe Louisiana doesn't test, but it's still a law. Good luck whichever route you go. I suppose even an aftermarket cat is better than a cat that doesn't work at all. Let us know if you find something that works, I'd recommend searching here first as it's been tried many times. At least this way you'll know which brands to stay away from. Good luck with that.
