I don't really have anything to compare mine to, so it would be great if someone could make a quick video.
Mine isn't too loud, but I have no idea what normal is, so I am kind of wondering... I would guess as loud as a window opening, but I have the cali roof so a little different. __________________

I'd try cleaning the track if i were you,there is probally sand/dirt in there causing the grinding noise. Mine is quiet both ways & come to thik of it on bavauto.com they sell a lubricant for the sunroof.
