IMO 5 spoke rims look the best on the ti,besides that OZ Wheels have a few rims that also look nice on the ti. What style of rims do you like? HAve you tried www.tirerack.com ? I like this site for wheels cause you can view them on your car b4 a purchase. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 01-23-2007, 01:58 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Austin, TX Posts: 250 | welcome, and wut area u in? __________________ | | | 01-23-2007, 06:07 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | IMO 17" rims look best on an e36 but you have to put on new springs to drop it down. Otherwise the reduced tire sidewall makes you look like you're 4x4ing down the road. 16" are the stock sport diameter and look good too even w/o dropping the base suspension (guessing yours is not a sport). 18" only look good if the rest of the ride is tricked out. I say 17"ers if you plan to lower it, 16"ers if you keep stock ride height. Style wise I've always liked the OEM twin spoke motorsport wheelsand SSR GT2 wheels. Stay simple and 5 spoke. Can't go wrong with BBS either. Classic. Get same width front/back for easy tire rotation and reduced tramlining on uneven surfaces. Tires, stay 225 width, maybe 235. Stock engine does not put down enough ponies to warrant anything more. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 02-05-2007, 06:18 AM | #7 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Style 42's are the best, but please don't get them because I would like to be the only one. | | | 02-05-2007, 05:00 PM | #8 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: west lothian Posts: 8 | thanks for that site you gave me mate. it was a dreat help. your right, it makes a difference when you can see the wheels on your car..... | | | 02-05-2007, 05:04 PM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: west lothian Posts: 8 | west lothian scotland | | | 02-05-2007, 05:10 PM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: west lothian Posts: 8 | there is so much choice | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
