Default Something Strange (Key Fobs)

Okay so my friend has just brought another 318ti compact and last night we discovered that his key fob can lock and unlock my car!?

Mine wont unlock his though... Anyone else ever come across this, Is there anyway I can stop him being able to open my car but still have my fob work?

That looks the remote control for the DWA V alarm system with the lettering worn off. Its installation manual is little help for your problem although it does mention a programming unit a dealer can use to customize the alarm (see below). The unit might also program simpler remote control.

Ahh yes, Thanks for finding that! hmm that's interesting although I Imagen a dealer being expensive to do that sort of thing, quite annoying that I might have to disconnect it though to stop him getting in my car lol
