Default Am I going crazy?

I bought a set of these Solaris Invisibulbs from Bimmian.com.

I'm not sure these bulbs work correctly with our cars. First off, I bought the wrong front bulbs; needed the dual contact bulbs. Anyway, I reinstalled the original front bulbs, and put the invisibulbs in the rear. Started the car, and now my corner lights aren't working. Actually, one of the front corner lights is on, but the other is off, and both of the rear corner lights are out.

I'm gonna buy a new front yellow bulb, to see if both front corner lights start working. Aren't all four corners supposed to be on, when your lights are on? Then when you use the signals, the bulbs blink brightly.

My concern, is that these invisibulbs aren't made to illuminate the corners, only work as turn signals. The woman at customer service said the same. Then these bulbs are not street legal for NY, is that true.

Part of the problem is that I don't think the corner lights would be bright enough to break through the silver coating of the bulb. That is why they don't say they work as corner lights.

Lucky for them they always have a clause to "Check with your local and state laws" and "We are not responsible for customers ordering the wrong bulbs". She claims no one has ever complained about the bulbs before.

Hey L8 i bought similar bulbs form bavauto.com. as far as i know they were called stealth bulbs and i like them. The corners illuminate when the parking lights/headlights are on and then they blink when you put your turning signals on. I have them in the front/rear and sides. I bought them cause i liked the chromed out look exspecially if you have clear outs, they just look cool. I'd post the link from the site but it doesn't work if you click on it. I'll post a picture of them and as far as i know these are 50 state legal. Also these bulbs are cheaper $30 for the pair.

Are you sure these work as corner lights too? This company claims they are only for turn signals. Is the light strong enough when only on as corner lights to penetrate the silver coating?

These pricks @ bimmian.com won't give a refund.

You can make your own silver coated bulbs. Just lightly spray some silver paint over colored bulbs. Super easy and it doesn't affect the bulb life or brightness enough to notice.

Yes they are,i had to buy 2 different ones for the car front/rear and on bavauto they even say they are for the corners. Well my bulbs are not the same brand as what you bought L8. I never really noticed if they are brighter when blinking. I will not be able to check that out till then end of the month as i leave for my vacation wednesday. I'll try and look tomorrow night if i remember.

I just called BavAuto. They said the rear corner lights do not light up, only when turning, no parking lights. He also said I may have to use the original bulb sockets off the stock tail lights to make the lights work. I did notice that the rear corner lights do have off center stubs on the sockets (150 degree vs 180 degrees). I'm gonna play around with what I have and see what happens. Since the rear corner lights are not supposed to work as parking lights, then the bulbs I bought for the rear may be working fine. I still need the correct front bulbs with the dual elements.

1 stop out on the light switch illuminates the corners and the 4 red lights in the rear. No orange. So you're working fine in the back.

Front is a 7225 bulb. All the books had the wrong number for some reason. (Changed them last week).
