Default 318ti engine swap help?

Anyone here know where i can get Jim's engine swap. Please help. I would like to find out other alternatives before shelling out $$ for DASC.

well... after seen how fast a 4 cyl can be with SC. (video of one running 13.3) I would opt for that IF YOUR ENGINE IS HEALTHY. I mean, if you've been taking care of it, has good compression and holds a leakdown...
the engine you get MIGHT not have had good care.... u know...
Otherwise... just get a 3.2L M3 96 - 99 and be prepared to learn a whole bunch.

What would be the price range for dasc to have this thing running 13's. I was thinking swapping for 325 building it up to m3 power minus induction upgrade. Wouldnt it be cheaper that route. Does anyone in here knows what mods was installed to get that ti to 13's?

swapping an M50??? it's a good swapp.... but don't expect to run 13's with that.

I swapped an S52, converted to OBD1, AA chip, Euro HFM Cold air intake, 24 lbs injectors, stainless steel headders, alum. flywheel and turbo clutch, cats removed, cat back triflo, fan deletion modif., bored throttle body, 3.25 lsd and running 100 octane fuel and only ran a 13.1... so I have spent way more than a SC would cost to run almost the same. I was pissed off when I saw the video (not really) but there are other alternatives to get to the same or close HP.
Now, if you decide to go sc. MAKE SURE your engine is healthy. otherwise, get rid of it... might as well... and just like on the brake upgrade thread... sure 4 cyl. ran a 13.3 with a SC... I ran a 13.1 but when I can get the SC what will I be running??? I have way more room for more HP and upgrades. but DASC IS A RESPECTABLE THING!!!

That is exactly what i was debating. M3 swap have way more room for more HP and upgrades. But if i can do it with dasc for a lot less price then why not. I just wanted to get someone elses opinion. One shop wanted 3.5k for BMW M3 1995 S50 Driveline. I'd figure to have the the swap running it would around close to 6k. Im just guessing on the price. I would to all the work myself. It shouldnt be that hard.

3500 for the S50 is not bad. depends on the millage, but remember the Heads are weaker.

I know of a guy that's selling an S52 + tranny with 40K both out of a 1999 for $45 shipped. now That's a deal.!
The swap should cost you $1200 - $2000 more than that I personally think is WAY too much.

I would recommend going the DASC route. Lots of people have and they love it. It took me about 10 hours to do. Thats it, I haven't touched it since. Swap in a new motor and be prepared for a much bigger time investment. I g-tech'd 14.43 @ 101 mph last week and I have an automatic tranny (for now).
