Clutch components arrived from CaTuned=)

I just need the m20 flywheel shim/washer and I have everything to mate the engine to the trans.

I also picked up a 2.93 medium case lsd for cheap. I am going to see how it cleans up and decide what I want to do with it from there. It is CRUSTY haha

Don't put it on!

I ran a 2.93 for a while . . . you can still keep up with traffic and your rpms stay nice and low on the freeway but you will have no pick up and first gear is long enough that you will burn the clutch when trying to go into first, I think even 800rpm turns out to be a couple miles a hour.

I was reading threads and people made it sound like it wasn't too bad. The car will be seeing almost exclusively highway miles so I figured it would be nice to get that extra 2mpg minimum=)

Ehhh I didn't like it, since you are going to be mostly fwy I would still say lowest you go would be 3.15 - or just 3.23 / 3.25.

I mean our 318 aren't really known to have much pickup to start off with or the low end torque for low rpm long geared trannies.

Thats just IMO - but you can try it since you got it and can always just swap it out of you end up thinking its too long.

More goodies arrived from Germany

Thanks again to my friend Kitty for all of the help finding and importing items. It is a set of MHW tail lights, a euro console, and alcantara to repair my drivers bolsters.

The MHW's are in pretty excellent shape. One thing that puzzles me on how to solve is this dead spider stuck between the lenses

He left a crystal sort of reside inside with him too. I think the only way to get him out is to heat the lights and pull off the lenses, but I don't want to risk damaging the lights=/

They look great otherwise=)

The console is basically the same as the US console, but does not have the holes in it for the stupid cup holder insert.

I also finally found a spot where I can bring the car to work on it. My parents offered to let me work on it in their garage so I cleaned that up a little and started reorganizing. I should be able to fit with room to spare around all sides=)

Going to see when I can get the car delivered and then go from there

The best solution is to name it. Remember, if it's a German spider it will need a proper German name.

you mean like HORST or KURT?
btw I KNEW that damn spider would give you a headache, it did so with me, too. We even tried to blast it out with air pressure, but HORST seems to be very persistent. He just wants to live with you. Accept it!

Hmm, it may be illegal to be buying and selling arachnids internationally.

I may have to report this
