I know that DASC's will all mount to either M42 or M44 intakes/heads, but I was thinking that the M44 throttle body (ICV mount on the TB, rather than under the intake manifold) might have been the reason for the 135* vs. 180* elbow. Again, I don't know this is as fact, which is why I was hoping someone with an M44 DASC could chime in. | Ah, on my yet to be installed DASC, the ICV is located on an adapter plate that routes out of the way. My throttle intake is the 180 degree version for the E36/5. The picture is for a M44 post emissions DASC kit. I saw some pictures of Hugo's setup where they made a small bracket to secure the ICV securly underneath the throttle body. The previous owner of my DASC likely just left the ICV hanging as in the picture. When I'm done, mine will look like Hugo's setup as far as the ICV. I don't see the plates present in the picture for this kit to support a M44, but I suspect Jim at Downing could fab them for a price. That's why I suspect this kit would be an easy bolt on for a M42 and some parts needed for a M44. Still a better price than what mine ended up being. Mine was a lower cost, not rebuilt and I had to get the belt, hose, missing bracket and a AFPR. in the end, it was higher cost than this kit. This kit, for a M44, it will likely need the plates discussed, the pulley's reviewd for belt compatability and any other plates/adapters for 96+ air emissions changes from a M42. If you send the barcode ID from the top of the Eaton blower, Downing can send you a CARB compliance sticker if your state requires it for SMOG testing. I don't see the barcode on the kit blower. Perhaps it was relocated. I came out of retirement/vacation land and back into the working world this last week so, car projects are on hold till I get stable in my new role. __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! The solution by DA seems a bit hokey to me, but other than completely redesign the intake elbow to create additional clearance between the TB and blower, this seems like the easiest, most cost effective way to address it. __________________ 1995 318ti Base - Cosmosschwarz/Sandgrau R.I.P. 1997 318ti Active - Alpinweiß III/Sandgrau 2013 328i Coupe - Le Mans Blau | | | 09-27-2013, 08:21 AM | #18 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2013 Location: Turkey Posts: 1 | Quote: Originally Posted by blowin 4 i will be selling my complete rebuilt dasc kit every thing on this kit has been rebuilt. all new seal bearings hoses gaskets fresh powder coated i have receipts the pulley's are 2 years old thats the only parts that hasn't ben changed as u can see in the pic i have 3 pulley's new bypass valve with quicker boost respond this kit is perfect original owner i was on a one year waiting list i was one of the first 10 people to receive the kit back in 2000. asking $ 2400 + shipping OBO | i can pay 1700$ for this superchager set. | | | 10-06-2013, 01:44 AM | #19 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2013 Location: Kuala Lumpur Posts: 5 | Still up for sale ? | | | 10-14-2013, 10:44 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: San Francisco, CA Posts: 425 | Hey sorry I'm late to the party, Yea the m42 kit will for the m44 engine, but it won't fit the OEM injectors, the diameters are different. Also there is an icv compatibility issue as I think some have covered and the pcv valve adapter that will be missing.
