Default what suspension to get?

recently my cars been shaking when rolling but not accelerating and under any form of braking. me and dad figured its the wheel bearing, good thing we hadnt ordered it yet. today my car was up on the lift at work, since we were closed and decided to stick around for a bit before rolling out so i lift it and check the wheels for any play indicating bad bearing. i found nothing. dad proceeded to look for the problem and began shaking the wheel violently and it started moving up and down, noticably. so now we know i have bad strut mounts. and my struts were already done for when i got the car so i figured instead of spending money on o.e.m equivalent suspension components might as well upgrade now rather than spending money twice for one job.

the problem now is what to get. ive had the rokkor set up in my head for a while thanks to a few members here but im also wondering for about the same price (~$300) what else can i get? the mounts are more than likely going to be replaced to polyurethane since im not one to complain about stiffness. in fact id rather have a stiff set up to hold up and handle like it should when messing around in the shop lot.

thanks in advance for suggestions and input.

I'd double check your ball joints while you're in there. They will also give up and down play when they are bad.

I'm not sure what the rokkor set up is, but koni and bilstein are the only brands near your price range that I would trust.

I second that, with my vote for Bilstein.

Check them out at Turner Motorsports as I think they have the best prices on them.

Also, if the mounts are shot, you may want to splurge for the M3 tops, which give you a bit of caster, which is nice in a ti...

You sure they fit?
I bought M3 mounts by mistake and they did not fit. The holes did line up.

I wonder what I ordered then?
The bolts would not line up even if I removed the pin.
I'm talking about the rubber strut mount.
Maybe they just sent me the wrong part.

If they have a pin to be removed that is an e46 hat

Strut hats fit all but 92 e36 based chassis'. The first e36 setup is different from the others. The pins in the hats are for e46s to get the camber closer to stock.
