Default 195k too much to consider

So, A clean m-tech popped up near me. I really like it for what it is.
It does however have 195k miles on it..
Is that sketchy on a 98

Just clicked over 200k on my 95 Clubsport. A lot of it has been redone but the engine has never been out and I suspect the clutch is original.

If you go into it with the perspective that it is a 200k mile car, you will need to spend money on it and you're the type that does proactive maintenance as opposed to reactive repairs... go for it. It will be a great car.

I own a '95 with 208,500 miles. I'm constantly fixing **** (the most recent problem is a rattling noise at idle that I haven't been able to track down) but it goes, it stops, it doesn't smoke, and it looks cool, so I can't complain. These cars can last a long time if they're taken care of properly. Of course, you have no idea if it's been taken care of properly, so you have to be willing to assume some risk.

198k is not sketchy at all on car that is 18 years old. Have it inspected by a good indie BMW shop before you make your final decision. If the owner won't allow it, then walk away.
