PCV valve (crankcase vent valve)

I searched and was surprised it is not talked about more, this is a very common part on vehicles that should be changed often. Maybe it is because a little NA 4 cylinder doesn't build up much crankcase pressure, but still...

Anyway. I was planning to do some routine maintenance and am replacing the valve cover gasket.. and since it was leaking the first place I look is the PCV valve. Usually these things are like 5-10 bucks. I can't find one under 60!

My QUESTION: where do you guys buy them? do you really fork over 60 bucks every 10-15k for a PCV valve??

from BMW only i think...and the pcv cost me $150 in New Zealand
