I have been trying to identify and find this part for about a week, maybe you guys can once again; save the day. The connector for the hose coming off of the valve cover and going to the PCV valve is COMPLETELY not sealed and rotten, and melted.... and poopy and stuff... it is barely on there. I have had the hardest time ever finding this part. It is not the PCV valve itsself, but the connector holding the hose on at the valve cover. It appears there is a little valve on this piece also, but I am perplexed as where to find one. I went to Kragens, used the internet, and a European specialty shop, HOURS of work, and i am still clueless as where to find one OR even what it called. I feel like i am missing something big here. But it is not that hose, it is the END of the hose connecting to the valve cover that I am looking for. There is like... a ..... pre-valve or something I dont think that that particular part comes with the hose, because the last guy who owned the car replaced the hose, but left that little piece of junk in there, its all melted, and like...has big gouges in it. Air is flying out of it, and screwing up idle. I need one TYVM Jesse | | | 04-21-2006, 06:05 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | #16 is the PCV valve I think. Is that what you were refering too? Mine was screwing up my idle too. My hose (#13) was completely shot as well. Unfortunately with the hose replaced (with regular heater hose) my idleing problem remained. After doing some investigation, I realized the engine ran the best with my finger plugging the PCV (#16) inlet. I ended up fashioning a plug from heater hose and electrical tape. The car has never ran better. I took a longer piece of heater hose and ran it from the valve cover to the bottom of the engine compartment as a vent for the crankcase. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 04-21-2006, 09:37 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: San Miguel, CA Posts: 31 | The hose (#13) AND the PCV valve (#16) themselves are working correctly. Look where the hose (#13) goes INTO the valve cover. You can not see very well in this picture, but look on your own car if you would be so kind. The hose has a small partition where it goes into the valve cover, and underneath the hose is a plastic valve, that plastic valve is what I need. I'll check the car when I get home though. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
