One has 90k on it and its just the fully assembled block, no head, no oil pan. The other had 198k on it. With this one, the valve cover was blown apart on start up and #3 cylinder had a damaged spark plug that i think the piston hit, not too sure what happened but the engine was was replaced. When I was at the Lane Motor Museum here in Nashville a couple of weeks ago, I saw a military vehicle that was designed to allow exactly that sort of thing. The engine was modular and you could basically bolt on more cylinders to expand the engine, plus it could have an engine in the front AND in the rear... at the same time.
