Default UGLY valve cover

Is your infamous valve cover ugly as *@#$$ ? Well if you guys want I can post a DIY on how to paint it, and give your engine that extra detail it deserves. It is a really simple procedure, and while your doing it you can also replace your valve gover gasket (kill two birds with one stone). CirrusSR22 has an awesome post on how to change the gasket etc. http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12007

If enough people want the DIY I will post it, as I am going to paint mine black/ stock color this weekend (I have not decided what color).

I have attached a picture of my 325is valve cover; I painted it red!

Looks good! I plan on posting the procedure (step by step with pictures), if enough people request it.

Agreed! I'd like to see some pics of the results if possible. Can it be polished?

If it's the same as the M50 cover, it can't be polished. I tried, and it's just plastic and paint . I wound up painting mine black.
