Default Bimmer freak or beginner?

was wondering, how many of us here are BMW freaks or just own them by way of fluke?

ive been into my Bm΄s now for about 15 years, but only realy begun to learn since the internet came around lol

ive had an e30 318i , an e30 320i touring and now my sport ti.

plans next for an e30 M3, or an e36 M evo(euro 3.2), or an e39 530

I ended up with a 1995 318ti sport by accident. I always loved VWs and Audis but never had a BMW. My sister gave me the Ti when my A6 was totaled by a careless driver. I didn’t like the Ti at first due to the A6 luxury options when commuting. I slowly started upgrading the Ti and really fell in love with the RWD and the look hatchback. I think the Ti is like good Whiskey; the first time you try it you don’t appreciate the quality and flavor. I can see myself owning it for another ten years.

I've loved Tis since 95, before I could drive. and I loved BMW since I was a kid, along with Porsche(77-80s 911 and 924/944/928s) and Mercedes(pre-war Mercedes)

I was eyeing BMWs for a while, but I ended up with the TI by complete chance.

I randomly looked at the "FOR SALE" board at my job and there it was, and ridiculously cheap. He had just posted it that morning, and it was snatched up by me that afternoon.

There is another TI that works here (4000 employees), black, grey cloth, steel rims with orig BMW covers. I haven't ran into that person yet.

Given the mods I've done I guess beginner-freak is appropriate.

Never really was a big bmw fan, but was a hatchback fan and needed a car at the time. I ended up buying it off a co-worker that was leaving for another "better" job.

Sounds like me. . . I initially wanted a Honda CRX. . . finally got that idea out of my head and started looking at VW GTIs. At the time, my price range was $3k. Then a couple months ago, I stumbled upon the 318ti on edmunds and found this website. . . now I'm doing all I can to get my hands on one.

+1

My requirement was German made hatchback, and that only left the Benz Kompressor or the BMW 318ti.

LOL, i went from a crx-si, and wanted a GTI. There werent any in my area for the price range i wanted, but there was the TI and an audi a4 quattro 2.8 but i wanted the 1.8t. The audi was double the price of the ti and the owner of the audi wouldnt return my calls so i said screw it and bought the ti.

probably beginner freak here too. Way too many brain cells dedicated to Ti factoids.

Campaiar- where do you work? P&G. My wife works in Mason and I think she's commented about Ti's.

Default freak or beginner?

In 1975, while stationed in Germany I got a 1969 1800 four door (kinda like an ugly four door 2002). Bought my 1987 E30 325 brand new and we still have that, and it's still stock. Just bought my 1998 ti Sport last October after looking for a year. So I don't know if this quite makes me a freak, but I definitely got something in my blood!

My dad raised me to be a freak for bmws, V.W's, and porsches so as long as i can remember ive always wanted one for my self. So my first car thanks to my dad was a 98 318ti m. , and i dont think ill ever drive anyting eles. Although i do love my 318 i am looking for like a e36 m3 and if i find one that sparks my eye i will have to sell the 318.

I was looking for a cheap Acura Integra or a Nissan 240SX when I saw the ad for my 318ti. It reminded me of hooked up Honda Civic hatchbacks, only with more class. So I had to get it even though it was more than I was looking to spend. I lucked out because my credit card sent me a blank check to use during that time and I was able to get the car.

Beginner Freaks rule.

Cali - My TI came from Mason, and my Ma and Sister live there so I'm around alot. I'm up in Liberty Twp., and I'm still working in Fairfield unfortunately. I wish I worked at P&G. Maybe sometime soon.
