Default wheel fitment question..

Ok, so I just finished a good hour search of the site to see if there was a similar question to mine and wasn't able to find exactly what I was looking for. (Even tried different titles which gave me more possible similar threads)

I'm in the market for some new wheels. My ti is currently lowered on stock shocks and H&R sport springs (the purple ones) its quite low. Right now the car has some E46 style wheels on them which seem to fit but ive noticed a bit of rubbing inside the wheel wells leading me to think the current offset is bit off for the ti. I dont know where the previous owner got the wheels.

I would like to put on some 17" wheels but dont know enough about tire and wheel fitments.

I saw these on tirerack and really like them.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

Will they fit on my ti without rubbing with the H&R springs??

Next question is what size tire would i need?

The tire currently on the car are 205/55/16 and I don't have any rubbing or drive-ability issues with them.

Answers or a point on the right direction is MUCH appreciated.

Yeah the new wheels are the right offset and only slightly wider than stock, you shouldn't have any issues with them.

Search google for a tire size calculator and use 205/60-15 (or 225/50-16 for sport wheels) for the stock size and find something in 17" probably 215 or 225 width that will keep the speedo happy.

That's good to hear, thank you for the info!

The wheels are on sale too, so big plus there.

As far as tires go, maybe a 225/45/17 ??

I've used a couple tire size calculators that ive found during my search and sad to say I get confused by the information given...
