Now that I've driven the car a bit, I'm pretty sure I hear more noise. It's not loud, but I think I hear something that wasn't there before. It reminds me of the sound that a dragging brake pad might make, but I'm confident that there's not an issue with the brakes. I suspect that the bushings allow more minor vibrations to be transmitted into the frame/body where they resonate a bit. Granted, I'm not sure what sort of noise would be contributed to by harder rear sub-frame bushings so this is mostly a big guess on my part. LOL

I haven't noticed any extra vibration.

I also had the front sway bar re-installed at the same time the rear SF bushings were replaced, so overall the handling went from "This feels like a 70's land barge" to "YES! This feels like a BMW!" I'm not sure how much of that is due to stiffer rear SF bushings though.

I went with the purple PowerFlex because my mechanic suggested that a stiffer rear would better complement the front X-brace and Mason front strut bar. Overall... I like it. :-)

Mason front or rear bar? I have both and really like them. Thanks for the feedback. Looking to pull the subframe, replace bushings and weld in the reinforcements.

I had the driver's side armrest fixed the other day. Waiting for a new driver's side mirror so I can replace the one with the glue coming through the mirror. Having lunch with Cali-Ti and family on Sunday...one more week of work and I'm headed back to the Gulf Coast to finish up business. My kids are bringing the Cali top later in the month. 310,660 miles and running fine! Woohoo!

I've got the Mason front strut bar and updated my post to specify that. I forgot that the rear strut bar exists.

Default What did you do to your car today? v.2015

Looked for parts in my locker. My luck, they will be in the back.

I think I found most of what I need without going too far back...

I hope I have some tranny mounts and a shift knob at the house...

I dunno, maybe glue and tie wraps can fix this. Looks like I can get a few more miles out of the old one...

The replacement Guibo is not the right one. The bolt hole diameter is too small. Let's see if I can find one locally.

Update: the Guibo is for an Automatic. M10 bolt. Manual Guibo uses a M12. Learn something every freaking day....

All good tho.

Thank you James. Beers on me at Fest.

Went to see my shell in the daylight, and take a couple of parts for the daily. Needed the subframe drivers side pushrod, window regulator and some sensors still attached.

Grabbed some photos of the shell while I was there. You can see the rear ACS wing moulded in.

I'll get to it someday. I have big plans for this car, but for now I have to finish my daily.

Thanks, that was definitely the selling point for me. Previous owner put a substantial amount of work into the car as far as the body goes. Shaved engine bay, moulded wing and so on. Definitely looking forward to the day it's working.

Correction...car is running fine but took it into the mechanic today because a rubber part of the rear driver's side bushing came off. Sad to say that the front control arms need to be replaced as well as the bushing before I can put it on the road back to Florida in 3 weeks. I had the passenger side bushing replaced in November. Ezippy was basically run into the ground the last two years that Sean drove it.

Both the control arms and bushings should have been replaced a long time ago, things that he could have done himself, but as we all know, he was too busy with other things (and I'm not talking about fishing or wheels). Most of you don't know the huge deal he made of me keeping MY car so it's been one expensive shock after another to find out he treated it so badly...because some whore was more important. It makes me really angry. It's no surprise to me that zippy is sitting in storage because it keeps overheating...and he's still too busy with other "things" to be bothered to fix it.

On the positive side, ezippy does run really well otherwise with 310,700+ miles on it, the mechanics were super-impressed and I am taking very good care of it just like I promised Eric (Cali-ti) I would when I bought it from him and I intend to keep taking care of it.

Now if I could take care of myself too...I fell cleaning a ceiling fan this am and broke my wrist...it should be a fun drive back Sunday alone with the puppers, but then I'm used to being alone...for at least the last 3 years. Onward and upward!

I 'fogged' my airbox today. Discovered the driver side has the same opening for fresh air as the passenger side so I reused the piece of intake that makes to the opening and cut my hole to match. Came out pretty good. Car feels like it has more power up top.
