Default Air Mass Meter Boot/Bellows question

I found that the rubber on my intake bellows has deteriorated and I was looking to order a new one, but I can't find any for the M44 engine. However, I can for the M42. I was wondering if it was the same part on both the engines and I could just order one for an M42 and it'd work. Thanks a lot.

The main difference as far as I know is that some m44's have asc+T, which means 2 bellows. This is a case of having to call the dealer or web part site for more info. Have your VIN# handy, they can reference alot of info with it.

Two words: Duct Tape.

Alright, thanks for your help you guys. I would use duct tape, but I previously patched up some other deterioration on it with some 5200 so I just figure I should replace the whole thing now, haha.

go to realoem.com and look at the part numbers and pictures for the m42 and m44. That should help you out.

Oops I just remembered, the great thing about BMWs is that they usually have the part #'s on all the parts, so see if you can find the # on the bellows and.......voila!
