Default head gasket

hey guys does the headgasket kit from an m42 fit the m44 engine. if not what parts do fit the m44 and what should i buy to complete a kit? I'm asking because i have the m44 but i am getting a huge deal on a complete kit for the m42 ($50) see if i could use parts from it and save some money.

Default funny story, was head gasket

I would have started a new thread, but Safari quits when I try and Firefox doesn't want to load on any of my ancient (3yo, but not intel) Macs. Sigh
Any suggestions can be sent to me at parliament.scout@yahoo.co.uk. I live in Georgia, though.

Had a wonderful time in the mountains last weekend, stretching the BMWs legs. This is my first BMW and I'm really coming to appreciate it for its handling.
There are a few problems, however. Maybe you lot have some suggestions.
On Wed PM, the plastic water manifold along the drivers side of the M42 engine, snapped a nipple. I didn't see it in time to prevent damage. Now compression is 170-70-100-150. Sigh...
To add insult to injury, I set the windows to go up, from outside the car to keep the dog out of it, and didn't notice that I had locked the doors. Now I cant get into it.
But wait; there's more!!
Almost all my textbooks are in the boot. Finals in two weeks.

Suggestions?

I really don't have time for a project, so wonder also, what a dead ti with bad paint but straight body is worth? Perhaps I just need to wait until I finish school in May of 2010?

To help you with your problem Cager, go to realOEM, look up a M42 and a M44, compare the head gasket part numbers.

It looks like the M44 and M42 have different part numbers for the head gasket itself. You're out of luck.
