I need someone to check their hood before I go out and replace the struts.
On the left side (driver US) there appears to be a bolt missing on the part that secures the strut to the hood.
On the right side there is no place for a bolt.
So I wonder if I'm not missing a bolt at all. __________________ ...steven

Thanks. Judging from realoem, I'm guessing it might be M6X12 This might be the cheapest repair I've ever done. Hopefully that bolt is not in the engine bay. That's odd that one side has the bolt because if you push on the hood upwards, there is some play. __________________ ...steven

Driver's side has a bolt that secures the pivot to the bracket that connects to the hood.
Make sure you check the engine bay thoroughly for the lost bolt--don't want it falling into something that spins. __________________

Bummer. The bolt didn't fix it.
