What have you replaced? Front ball joints? Plastic coolant pieces that go into the block? | | | 06-29-2008, 10:23 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Regensburg, Germany Posts: 584 | Thanks guys. Its an M42, so I recently replaced the thermostat, LCABs at 192,000, fuel filter at 240,000, upgraded to H&R sports and Bilstein sports at 220,000...thats about it, regular oil changes of Mobil 1 at 5-6000 miles. Like I said, it starts right up and I dont take it easy on it at all! bf.c guys say thats because its a RWD CRX, but my CRX only made it to 204,000 miles. Its my daily driver, I drive around 40,000 miles a year, its getting 33.4 MPG...I hate to say, I'm kinda waiting on something big to happen so I can make it into a track car, but until then, I'm enjoying the gas mileage. Obviously with the suspension upgrade and the amount of miles I'm putting on it, I replace my 17" tires every 4-6 months, or my 15" tires every 6-8 months. Needless to say, I've got my 15s on there now | | | 06-29-2008, 10:34 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | if there are two things we respect on this forum, it's incredibly low mileage cars, and incredibly high mileage cars congrats on keeping it running so long, are you the original owner? | | | 06-29-2008, 11:11 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Regensburg, Germany Posts: 584 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak if there are two things we respect on this forum, it's incredibly low mileage cars, and incredibly high mileage cars congrats on keeping it running so long, are you the original owner? | Haha! True! Thanks man! I got it at 192k miles, almost 3 years ago. My stepmom had it first, then some lady that really beat it up, but my dads mechanic has always been the one to do the work on it. Although, I live 6 hours away, so I do everything on it now, except when I'm down there visiting. The seats are nasty, the driver's seat bolster has a big hole in it, and she put a little dent in the front left fender, trunk lid, and a long scrape/dent on the passenger door. She kept up on the maintenance though, just didnt know how to drive apparently. | | | 07-03-2008, 06:18 AM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: Vancouver, BC Posts: 23 | Congratulations! Thats like 480,000km! My next "milestone" is 75k miles (125k km) Heres to 300,000 more! Heck, if a Volvo can rack up 2 and a half million miles, surely a german tank can get 600k | | | 07-03-2008, 07:25 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2008 Location: Nevada Posts: 259 | that's insane and commendable at the same time. Teh fact that your not the original owner and a chick owned it before you blows my mind. I don't feel so bad now at 148k . Original clutch? I'd love to see documentation of that one though | | | 07-03-2008, 02:18 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: PA Posts: 822 | Damn it!!!!!
