I found the sensor inside the maf bent and touching the plastic surrond. so i carefully straightened it out and put it all back togeather. The rough idle is gone! BUT when i brake hard my idle still drops! so i pulled over and pumped the brakes really fast, and the rpm's dropped to 150 or so! i tapped the gas and it idled fine. pump brakes...almost stall. This leads me to believe it is a vacum leak.
