There was an article earlier in the week where they talked about the fact that they didn't do any 2008 development last year during the race season. The spent all of last year working on the 2009 car. Where as the tops teams, BMW, Ferrari, Merc, all had to continue developing the 2008 car in their chase for points. I think they should take a cue from the NFL and have the cars glow when they are using the kers boost. | | | 03-29-2009, 04:20 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | Man, Kubica blew it... He should have waited, he was obviously faster than Vettle. But that was quite a performance by Button. __________________ | | | 03-29-2009, 04:45 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | this is what you want lots of F1 / WRC, full race downloads... He did it with Schumi for years prior to Ferrari, then with Ferrari and now with his own team... we'll see what happens in the upcoming races cause I know for sure most teams will copy the design... Anybody notice those weird engine tone changes?... And Kubica!... I never expected such a bonehead move like that from him... from Hammi yes, cause he's a freaking bonehead!, but not from Kubica... All in all there were lots of contact and boneheaded moves on the track last night!... looks like an interesting start we'll see what develops in the next few! __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... | | | 03-30-2009, 12:44 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | Quote: Originally Posted by yoda Anybody notice those weird engine tone changes?... As for Kubica - bad luck - but he is generally good - he'll bounce back! __________________ SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD! Just some Hamilton hating because he is that good. He was obviously one of the best drivers in the race. He had one of the slowest cars in qual. and practice and did a hell of a job driving that car. | | | 03-30-2009, 05:13 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Quote: Originally Posted by marko | I used to use them then got a motogp.com subscription. | No the tone I'm talking about was the one Mid-Acceleration were they were running in the upper RPM range and all of a sudden there was a DIP in TONE.... that went from the usual high pitch to a lower pitch, and it went low-high-low for a couple of seconds then back to normal... Even Hobbs asked what the heck it was, and I think they just figured it was due to the KERS, but weren't sure if it was... Hey Hamilton may have some skills, but he sure ain't what he's been propped up to be!... There are many drivers out there that deserved that ride, rather than an untested rookie jumping on-board with a TOP team, then the team giving him the setup of Alonso's car for him to go out and "race"... You know who really did great.... Trulli, from the pits and finished 3rd... __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... | | | 03-30-2009, 05:59 PM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Quote: Originally Posted by yoda Hey Hamilton may have some skills, but he sure ain't what he's been propped up to be!... Trulli, from the pits and finished 3rd... | You mean the guy that went off track under the safety car only to later receive a 25 second penalty and get dropped way back in the pack? Yeah, great performance there... Two years in F1 and a #1 and #2 finish... Mercedes saw something in Hamilton and went for it. Not sure why people hate on him for a decision he didn't make. He is a fast driver, you can't say it is all car. I just find it humorous how much people hate on drivers. | | | 03-31-2009, 01:37 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn Not sure why people hate on him for a decision he didn't make. I wanted him to succeed when he first came on - I really wanted him to beat Alonso to (another primadona)... but then he turned into a real cocky a-hole. Arrogant attitude with wheel banging bully tactics - with only a handfull of races under his belt. Turned me off - & now makes my skin crawl. In fact, I wish someone puts him in a wall head first at 200mph. & all this coming from a die-hard Shui fan! LOL who wrote the book on this stuff - mostly due to the fact that his career begun while Prost, Senna & Mensell were duking it out hard-core every race - so he did what was common & acceptable at the time... but thats another story for another day. LOL Its gonna be a good season.... any predictions for Sepang folks??? I say BrawnGP 1 & 2 - Ferrari 3 & 4 - Kubica 3 (Nick sux), etc... __________________ SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD! Both impressive drives though (with some good luck as well of course ). McLaren's my local team (bout 15 miles away) so gotta suppport them really, although good work by Brawn et al though. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
