It should say BMW on the bottom of the magnet and then also tell you it's 4 ohm or something like that. But if yours are two-way speakers(meaning they have a woofer cone and then a tweeter cone on top.) then you have something besides stock. and again if you look on the bottom of the magnet they should tell you what brand they are. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 07-22-2006, 11:44 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: London Posts: 79 | Cool, thanks i haven't removed any panels to have a look yet, but just looking thru the grill i can see it's a dual cone speaker (not co-ax with tweeter on top, but kinda like an open cup sitting on the dust cap). well, i might forget about upgrading the speakers then. they sound pretty decent at the moment with the bass turned up and all. i'll just upgrade my head unit to a cd/mp3 tuner. thanks for your help __________________ -Impyboy | | | 07-23-2006, 03:32 AM | #8 | Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: New Zealand Posts: 34 | When I brought my car I had them change my head unit over from my old car, it was a reasonably cheap one but still better than the one in the car and within a week I blew my back speakers and had to turn off all the base and wait for replacements (my brother is doing it as he is an auto sparky). | | | 07-27-2006, 06:38 PM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: california Posts: 14 | im sure its been mentioned but i customed my top deck that covers the trunk/ hatch area to fit 2 big 6x9 speakers, system is awesome. i recommend as long as you keep it clean. | | | 07-27-2006, 07:16 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: London Posts: 79 | i'm gonna keep my rears sa they are. just need the front imaging worked on, and possibly a sub later on. U can never get too much sound coming from the car.lol | | | 07-28-2006, 07:38 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | im also running 12 memphis car audio subs in my car and i have Sony Xplods 6x9's in the rear deck connected to the head unit. it sounds loud enough. i mean i can feel the air from the bass when i am driving. and i am going to put a battery cap on the amp so it wont be draining the battery for too much energy at one time. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 07-28-2006, 09:59 AM | #13 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: London Posts: 79 | any rattles or anything? it's a pretty solid car, i can't imagine too many probs with rattlles __________________ -Impyboy | | | 07-28-2006, 09:59 AM | #14 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: London Posts: 79 | any rattles or anything? it's a pretty solid car, i can't imagine too many probs with rattlles __________________ -Impyboy | | | 07-28-2006, 09:59 AM | #15 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: London Posts: 79 | any rattles or anything? it's a pretty solid car, i can't imagine too many probs with rattlles __________________ -Impyboy | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
