Default Broken Seats - any other BMW models interchangeable?

My seat back has just broken, and Im looking for a replacement leather seat. Does anyone know if my 1995 318ti, will take any e36 or other model bmw seat?

I think any other e36 will fit. Z3 type car seats also work, but I believe they make you sit very low.

I agree, You should be able to use the seats from any other E36 - But you keep in mind some of the seats are heated and some are not. If you have heated seats in your ti now, then get the heated ones. If you dont' then you could wire it up or just not hook up the wire.

My seat recently broke as well. It seemed like the lumbar broke and it would always leen back on one side of the seat.

I looked into a auto place that did interior. Charged me $120 and now it's as good as new. Might want to look into that before buyin and expensive replacement seat. I have a 95 318ti as well... it wasn't leather but you still cannot tell they took the seat apart to fix it.. Good luck

"Might want to look into that before buyin and expensive replacement seat."

yeah, I spoke to a garage who suggested that I check out SH replacement seat first, because you can sometimes get even leather ones on ebay or in breakers for $100-150, which saves getting the welding gear out.

Thanks for the E36 confirmation - gives me a few more options!
