At the end of last summer, I read that you can close the windows with the key in the driver's door. For kicks, I tried it, and it was the worst mistake I ever made. As the driver's side window was going up, it got caught or something, so everything stopped closing (driver's window, passenger's window, and sunroof). I tried to close them using the interior switches to no avail. I tried with the key again, and they closed. Since then I have not been able to open or close my windows or sunroof! The switches no longer operate them. If I try the key in the door, it will make them move slightly/makes a little noise, so it does not seem to be the motors. Also, I replaced the Comfort Relay to no avail. Anyone have any ideas??? It's getting hot again!! I survived the fall and winter, but I'm not sure what to do once it heats up! | | | 05-31-2005, 08:11 PM | #2 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: New York Posts: 10 | Problem Solved 9 months, when you read my "fix," please bear in mind that I went w/o "window control" for 9 months, but I hope this helps someone if they have the same situation! Turns out, there was a bad fuse, except it was not the power wondow fuse or relay; rather, it was the electric lock fuse. Central locking/electric locks worked fine, so I never thought to check, but on Friday, I examined every fuse, and the electric lock fuse was burnt. Swapped it out (5 Amps.), and now they work!
