yes , that is correct, you wouldn't need performance wires for this. but if you choose to upgrade, Magnecor wires would be your best bet, not bavauto
just found a great gapping instructions page from NGK and a muli-ground plug link is in there
http://www.ngk.com/learning-center/a...g-instructions another question from me; has anyone run a cooler or hotter plug? if ya know what i mean...
http://www.ngksparkplugs.ca/document...ge%20Chart.pdf it would seem that using a supercharger or turbo, even a cai , is would be recomended to use a 1 time colder plug, ie; from ngk , using a 7 is cooler then a 6 . and adjusting the gap.
I'm actually testing a colder plug in my stock 99 crv: iridiumIX 7 . smooth, but missing torque midrange. bought a set of the original 6 temp today , same iridiumIX 6. gonna install tomorrow with the correct gap to see if this affects anything.
interesting about the pregaped plugs, don't trust that it is correct, as out of 4 that I recently got from ngk , only 1 was about right , one was actually 0.029 instead of the 0.044 it was supposed to be. They mark not to adjust the gaping on the package, only because the iridium and platinum tips are so fragile now, but on the website, if you dig a little, they say to proceed with caution and not to force the tip. I did mine using pliers to pull up on the
I think the 4 prong plug wouldn't need gaping since the spark has a choice to take the easiest route to light. Ok, well from reading from the above link , it wouldn't be recommended to run anything else but.
hope all this makes some sense to someone..
