If anyone in the new england area needs an exhaust this would be perfect. I would prefer not to ship but if you really want to maybe we could work something out. It is a dual tip aftermarket exhaust, but I am not sure of the company. It is pretty loud but definitely livable for daily driving. It passed the MA state inspection last december but I can't make any guarantees. | | | 07-17-2008, 08:56 PM | #2 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: quincy Posts: 3 | exhaust Hey Luka! it is Ron with the redti.. i am interested in the exhaust to check it and see if it would work for me. thanks | | | 07-17-2008, 09:07 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Boston MA Posts: 135 | if it doesnt work out for red i live close by and would love a new exhuast =) | | | 07-17-2008, 09:34 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boston, MA Posts: 1,152 | What is the plan for your ti? Did you sell it? Good to see all kind of new owners coming out and joining this forum. My other question is why didn't you guys/gals sign up under the roll call thread in New England section yet? http://318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12141 | | | 07-17-2008, 09:36 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | damn, I guess I got third dibs then, lol | | | 07-17-2008, 10:21 PM | #6 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: CT Posts: 88 | i will drive to pick it up, pm me pix | | | 07-18-2008, 03:27 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: MA Posts: 76 | Wow! I was not expecting there to be so much interest for the exhaust. I forgot to say that it is very light. The stock exhaust weighs ~37 lbs and this one only weighs ~23 lbs. I just installed a stock exhaust I got for free so I can give a better description of the sound. It is not too much louder than stock but it has a much more sporty sound. I would describe the stock unit sort of like a sewing machine, it really muffles the sound. The aftermarket is way more sporty and actually sounds like a car engine, but it is not ricey like all the hondas. It would be great if whoever picks up the exhaust could trade their bottom lip of the bumper with me. Mine is already cut out nicely to fit the dual tips and right now I have a big gap with just one little pipe. I will try to post some pics tomorrow, it may be a while since I have been to lazy to learn how. | | | 07-18-2008, 04:55 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Boston MA Posts: 221 | Everybody loves free stuff. Maybe we can have a swap meet to exchange car parts. __________________ 1998 BMW 318ti M-Tech Sport Silver (Gone to member leeko617) CURRENT: 2015 BMW X1, 2004 BMW 330ci Convertible, 1998 Porsche Boxster, 2001 BMW 525i Touring GONE: 2000 Audi A4, 2002 VW Passat, 1985 VW Cabriolet | | | 07-19-2008, 06:26 PM | #9 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: MA Posts: 76 | Pics: | | | 07-19-2008, 07:03 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Why are you getting rid of it, if I may ask? | | | 07-19-2008, 07:31 PM | #11 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: MA Posts: 76 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker Why are you getting rid of it, if I may ask? | I prefer the looks of the single pipe. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
