 newbie engine questions???
hey everybody I have some questions for you guys and maybe you can help me out I've been looking around but i have not found the answers myself so here we go. I had to take my 97ti in cause of the check engine light, and what the place told me was a bit confusing to me since i know nothing about cars, but here is what I do know is in all the car is about to hit 80,000 miles on it and that the guy says it needs a injection reactor, diverter valve, pump and a pressure hose, i'm not sure how to find these parts or the part numbers cause they seem to be under different names i guess. yet they place says that some how a vavle got stuck open burned up the hose between someplace and secondary and valve and it's making exhaust spit back into it he also told me that it has water in it from a power wash he believes i was hoping maybe somebody can tell me what these parts are or their real name in the bmw world or maybe even explain the problem to me a bit better ohh yeah this is one other thing i know the place wants to charge me almost 930.00 to get it fixed is that high or does it sound right right considering the damage? thanks for the help |
