Question really loud knock/pop/bang from the rear under hard acceleration

So, I drove my TI kinda hard today while going back and forth on dirt roads checking out a potential house in the country. I dont think i damaged anything during the day, but I really was wailing on it all day. Nothing that a BMW cant handle. So about 2 blocks from my house on my way back, im at a stop light going uphill (about 7% grade). I floor it from the light, shift to second, and in second gear, i hear a very loud KNOCK/POP coming from around where the floorboard is in the rear. Car didnt pop out of gear or anything and nothing really happened as far as driving goes except me getting scared ****less and slowing down considerably.

I immediatly stopped ripping on it and drove normally, and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. Switched through all the gears and even tried accelerating at WOT and everything seemed fine. It almost seemed as if some big rock hit the undercarriage.

I gave a visual inspection and absolutely everything looks normal. Has this ever happened to anybody? any clues?

This is the house I looked at today, and my TI behaving well in the corner.

Rear shock mounts?
You can't visually inspect them unless you pull pack the interior carpet.

i'd crawl under and check the diff mounts as well, just to be sure. maybe pull up the carpet in the rear as well and make sure the welds in the floor pan for the diff mount haven't blown out (i posted another thread on these issues on z3s and mz3s).
