Wilwood big brake kit and wheel fitment Friends from 318ti.org, I bought a front wilwood big brake kit, and i'm passing through some wheel fitment problem. I have Radial Styling 32 18" ET 31, and to make them fit, i'll have to use 20mm spacers. As my car is lowered with H&R race, this will make wheels and tires too close to front fenders. This way, it seems right time to new wheels. Does anyone can help me choose one that may fit without using any spacers? Thanks in advance | | | 05-03-2009, 06:55 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | maybe you could just roll the fenders out a little bit? | | | 05-03-2009, 06:57 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Rio de Janeiro - Brasil Posts: 133 | Ti freak, This is not my intention. If I use 20mm spacers, front wheels will going to be more "out" then rears. I prefer buy new wheels, that clear this new calipers. Anyone can help me? | | | 05-09-2009, 01:12 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Rio de Janeiro - Brasil Posts: 133 | Any idea of which wheels can clear this BBK? | | | 05-09-2009, 03:23 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | if your on ET 31 with 20mm spacers = ET 11 then any 5 series wheel should be fine as long as it has the same 72,6 inner bore size on the wheel hub __________________ Vin Number decode and Retrofit Pdfs Available Free ! The guy who created them wanted them to be great for track wheels, very light and enough room for BBK. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1161972 __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 05-09-2009, 05:59 PM | #7 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | Thanks for posting those Dave! Looks like I now have another wheel to consider. I'd like a staggered setup though and will have to email him and see if that's possible (as the group buys have all been for same size sets). I need a new set that will clear the m-coupe brakes that I'll be putting on. I was looking at the D-Force LTW5s, but these look like a nice option. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 05-09-2009, 06:46 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | No problem. I'm pretty sure I read in one of the threads that he will sell staggered set ups. But definitely ask and make sure. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
